Hearing Delayed Until April 25th
California Senator Carole Migden has introduced legislation in the California Senate that would impose onerous restrictions on alcohol beverage advertising. You can view a copy of that bill, SB1180, by clicking here.
ANA has been working closely with our member companies and other industry groups to oppose this bill. A letter from First amendment expert Steve Brody, on behalf of ANA, describing the serious constitutional problems with SB1180, can be viewed here.
A hearing on SB1180 was scheduled for April 4th, but we have just learned that the hearing has been pushed back to April 25th. Steve Brody will be testifying at that hearing on behalf of ANA.
