Last month, Congressman Ed Markey, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, sent a letter to Kevin Martin, Chairman of the FCC and Commissioners Deborah Taylor Tate and Michael Copps, urging them to consider serious new restrictions on food marketing. The FCC Chairman and Commissioner Tate and Commissioner Copps have now responded to Congressman Markey.
Congressman Markey's letter raises serious concerns about food marketing and all children's marketing.
ANA is preparing a response to the Markey letter and would appreciate any comments you have. Please contact Dan Jaffe in ANA's Washington, DC office at djaffe@ana.net or (202) 296-1883.
