      2008 FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS

      ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Star Tyler James Williams Hosted

      The 10th Annual Show which aired on December 12 on The CW

      LOS ANGELES, CA – December 12, 2008 – The ANA Alliance for Family Entertainment announced the winners of the top ten moments in family entertainment during tonight’s 2008 Family Entertainment Awards which aired on The CW. Everybody Hates Chris star Tyler James Williams hosted the 10th annual show with appearances by Blake Lively, Mario Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennie Garth, Derek and Julianne Hough, Cody Linley, Leona Lewis, Mary Hart, Camryn Manheim, Neal E. Boyd, John Ratzenberger, Kaley Cuoco, Laura Ziskin, Phylicia Rashad, LeVan Davis, Cassi Davis, Lance Gross, Demetria McKinney and Michael Phelps’ mother Debbie Phelps.

    The top ten moments in family entertainment were captured by:  

    DRAMA: Ghost Whisperer
    With Jennifer Love Hewitt and Camryn Manheim accepted the award on behalf of the show

    COMEDY: PUSHING DAISIES
    The cast including Lee Pace, Anna Friel and Chi McBride accepted the award which was presented by Nora Dunn

    SPECIAL EVENT: Stand Up 2 Cancer
    Performers Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis accepted the award along with Executive Producer Laura Ziskin

    REALITY: America's Got Talent
    Winner Neal E. Boyd and Executive Producer Simon Cowell accepted with award which was presented by Ryan Seacrest


    CABLE TV: House of Payne
    The cast including LeVan Davis, Cassi Davis, Lance Gross and Demetria McKinney accepted the award

    FEATURE FILM: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
    Blake Lively accepted the award on behalf of the film

    ANIMATED FEATURE: Wall-E
    John Ratzenberger accepted the award on behalf of the film

    VIDEO GAMING SYSTEM: Wii
    Fans of the gaming system, Mario Lopez, Derek & Julianne Hough, Cody Linley,  and Jennie Garth accepted the award

    TV MOVIE: Raisin in the Sun
    Phylicia Rashad accepted the award for the TV movie

    Special Olympic Moment
    Mrs. Debbie Phelps was honored with the award

     The 10th annual awards show honored actors, actresses, producers and shows that support quality family content.  Dick Clark Productions produced the show which is presented by the members of the ANA Alliance for Family Entertainment.
