Thomas (Tom) Adams is associate director and associate general counsel for Procter & Gamble. Mr. Adams manages a group of attorneys responsible for providing advertising, brand equity and other commercial legal guidance to the company’s baby, family and feminine care businesses, and brands like Pampers, Charmin, Tampax and Always. He also leads P&G’s trademark, copyright and publicity rights practices for the Americas, as well as the team of attorneys advising on legal issues related to consumer-facing digital marketing. Finally, Tom heads up the legal group that supports the company’s global entertainment and sports marketing efforts. Mr. Adams has structured and negotiated numerous celebrity, influencer, athlete, team and sports-league deals. These range from brand ambassadorships for leading beauty brands such as CoverGirl, Olay and Pantene, to sponsorship of hundreds of individual athletes, stadium naming rights deals, league and team-level sponsorships within the NFL, NASCAR, MLB and soccer, and a 10-year global Olympic partnership covering dozens of the world’s biggest consumer brands.
