Melanie Boulden is a senior marketing and general management executive with an established track record of managing high-profile brands, growing revenue and increasing profit in the CPG industry. She also has global brand management and cross-functional sales experience. As senior vice president, global marketing, Ms. Boulden is responsible for the company’s marketing strategy and execution. Reporting to the CEO, she serves on Crayola’s executive leadership team and is accountable for sales and profit across an 830-plus item portfolio of art tools, crafting activities, creativity toys and digital apps. Melanie leads the company’s marketing organization in the areas of strategic planning, consumer insights and analytics, product innovation, brand/portfolio management, creative services and marketing communication, including creative, media, digital, mobile, social, public relations, consumer promotions, online and in-store retail activation, and consumer affairs. Prior to Crayola, Ms. Boulden worked at Kraft Foods as senior director of marketing, leading strategy for the beverages business unit (BU). Reporting to the BU president, she was a member of the executive leadership team responsible for the $4-billion, 2,600-member organization. Melanie received a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in marketing and finance from the University of Iowa.
