Christopher Cole leads Crowell & Moring's Advertising and Product Risk Management Group, a team that provides interdisciplinary solutions to companies facing challenging competitive and regulatory issues. He is widely recognized as one of the leading advertising litigators in the country. Mr. Cole also focuses on the defense of Federal Trade Commission and related investigations, and has handled dozens of cases before the National Advertising Division. He and his team provide strategic claims development and competitive and risk management guidance to some of the world’s leading companies in industries such as food and beverages, consumer products, personal care products, medical devices, media and telecommunications, home appliances and software/internet technology. Mr. Cole holds biology and marine biology degrees from Yale and the University of Miami, respectively. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law. Mr. Cole, who writes and teaches extensively on advertising law and business, currently chairs the American Bar Association's Section of Antitrust Committee on Advertising Disputes and Litigation. Chris co-chaired the ABA's 2017 Consumer Protection Conference and the Brand Activation Association’s 2016 Annual Marketing Law Conference.
