Melinda McLellan is a New York-based Privacy and Data Protection Partner with BakerHostetler. Her practice focuses on complex privacy, cybersecurity, and information governance issues, working with clients to find pragmatic strategies for managing high-stakes compliance challenges related to the use of data-intensive products and services. Melinda’s expertise includes negotiating multiparty, cross-jurisdictional tech transactions, ranging from vendor contracts and joint marketing agreements to mergers and acquisitions. She also has significant experience coordinating data security incident response and subsequent regulatory inquiries, and she frequently counsels clients on the creation and implementation of privacy and security policies and training programs. Melinda is a 2005 graduate of Harvard Law School where she served as Executive Editor of the Harvard International Law Journal, and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/US; CIPP/E).
