Teresa Poggenpohl is responsible for marketing and communications for the United States and Canada. She is focused on positioning Accenture as an innovator and leading brand in these markets. In her 25-year career at Accenture, Ms. Poggenpohl has spearheaded the rebranding of Andersen Consulting to Accenture, drafted award-winning, image-building advertising campaigns and established a European marketing function while based in London. Teresa developed a unique brand identity and integrated marketing campaign for Accenture’s five businesses: Accenture Strategy, Accenture Consulting, Accenture Digital, Accenture Technology and Accenture Operations. She has received wide recognition for her achievements, including being named “Best Marketer” by BtoB Magazine, being selected for the list of “100 Influential Marketers” by The Internationalist Magazine and receiving the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Business. Ms. Poggenpohl serves on Accenture’s Global Leadership Council, North America Leadership Team and the Marketing and Communications Executive Committee. Teresa also serves several civic, community and business organizations, including the Chicago Children’s Museum. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Teresa lives in Chicago with her husband and their two sons.
