Cassidy Sehgal is vice president, associate counsel and the data guardian of L’Oréal USA. Ms. Sehgal is an advertising lawyer with a broad range of advertising review, FTC, FDA, media and ad tech experience. She has extensive experience negotiating agreements across media, data, agency and digital IT topics and leads data governance at L’Oréal USA. Prior to working for L’Oréal, Cassidy worked at Colgate-Palmolive Company, Register.com and Mamamedia.com, and focused on prepublication review in private practice. Cassidy began her career as a “digital lawyer” at the American Civil Liberties Union as the William J. Brennan fellow and focused on First Amendment and privacy issues. Ms. Sehgal is a member of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus and the Association of National Advertisers legal committee. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Cassidy also serves as a member of Womankind, an organization that supports survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
