Alan N. Sutin is chair of the firm’s technology, media and telecommunications practice, and senior chair of the global intellectual property and technology practice. His practice is concentrated in the areas of intellectual property, licensing, advertising, marketing and promotion matters, as well as outsourcing, internet law, computer law, privacy and data protection. An experienced business lawyer, Mr. Sutin brings a practical, business-oriented approach to advising companies as they expand their use of new leading-edge technologies. He has been a regular speaker on marketing, technology, privacy and data security issues at industry conferences in the United States, Europe and India. In addition, Alan represents a wide variety of companies in connection with licensing, information technology and business process outsourcing arrangements, strategic alliance agreements and commercial joint ventures. He has particular experience in internet and electronic commerce issues and has been involved in many of the major policy issues surrounding the commercial development of the internet. Mr. Sutin has advised foreign governments and multinational corporations in connection with these issues. Alan also holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
