Mammen Verghis is vice president, multicultural consumer marketing for Prudential’s U.S.-based businesses. He is responsible for helping the U.S. businesses drive profitable growth among key multicultural market communities that include women, Hispanics, Asians, African Americans and LGBTs. Mr. Verghis works closely with each of the businesses and the corporate areas to execute on strategy, products, marketing communications and sponsorship programs. He entered the financial services industry as a marketing management trainee at John Hancock Financial Services. Mammen subsequently worked for 11 years at the Hanover Insurance Group and assumed progressively senior positions in sales, marketing and product management. He joined GE in 1998 as senior vice president of integration for GE Financial and soon held senior leadership roles in international operations, marketing and sales management. Mammen has a degree in economics from St. Norbert College and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in economics from Temple University. He has several professional designations and licenses, including CLU, ChFC, CFP and FINRA Series 7 and 22. A frequent speaker at company and industry events, Mr. Verghis has been quoted in several business and industry publications. Mammen is also active in various nonprofit community organizations and serves on the board of Citizen Schools of New Jersey.
