Larry Weinstein is a partner at Proskauer Rose, where he co-heads the Intellectual Property Litigation Group and the Advertising & Trademark Law practice. Larry is both a trial lawyer and a counselor. For nearly thirty years, Larry has litigated advertising disputes of all sorts throughout the United States, including Lanham Act cases, consumer class actions and NAD and NARB proceedings, and counseled clients regarding product testing, consumer surveys and other aspects of advertising claim substantiation, as well as FDA and FTC regulatory compliance. His clients include major consumer products, medical device, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and apparel companies, as well as sports governing bodies, leagues and teams. Larry is the principal author of the U.S. law chapters of Chambers’ forthcoming book on the law and regulation of pharmaceutical advertising, the founder and lead editor of the blog Watch This Space: Proskauer on Advertising Law and a frequent speaker on the subjects of advertising litigation and counseling. Larry earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and his J.D. from N.Y.U. Law School, where he was Articles Editor of the Law Review and Order of the Coif.
