I. WALGREENS: MARKETING PROCUREMENT CASE STUDY (10:00 – 11:00AM)
In this session, the Walgreen Company will share how their marketing procurement team has evolved and the latest developments. This session will explore the key challenges, lessons learned, and high-level successes the team experienced.

II. GRAINGER: FINDING THE RIGHT AOR (11:15AM – 12:15PM)
Identifying an agency that fits with your company's culture and marketing strategy, can be a tough task. In this session, Melissa Gerlach, category manager – marketing & ecommerce at W.W. Grainger Inc., will share their approach to finding the right AOR, how they mapped out this approach, and lessons learned along the way.

III. AGENCY COMPENSATION TRENDS AND BEST PRACTICES (1:00 – 1:30PM)
The ANA's 2016 Trends in Agency Compensation survey results show how marketers structure and manage agency compensation, including various incentives and overall compensation. The work illustrates key trends in agency remuneration methods and practices. Hear the results of this survey along with an expert analysis of what it means for you. We'll do a deep dive into the results and discuss what it means for members.

IV. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BRIEF AND THE BRIEFING (1:30 – 2:00PM)
The ANA and a task force of ANA members have focused on developing guidelines for advertisers use in writing briefs and conducting briefings. Eleven subject matter experts who each had a thoughtful, well-informed perspective to share, met weekly with the task force to share their best practices. These SMEs included advertisers, agencies, and consultants. The learning has been condensed into guidelines, which will be distributed prior to this meeting.

V. MARKETING PROCUREMENT MENTORING PROGRAM (2:00 – 2:30PM)
In this session, mentors and mentees in the ANA Procurement Mentoring Program will guide a discussion on the joint value and positive outcomes formed by strong mentor relationships. They'll also provide an overview of the ANA Procurement Mentoring Program, highlight the current roster of active mentors, and the process of matching up individuals. Current and former program participants are highly encouraged to share their experiences as well to guide future mentors and mentees.
