Integrated Marketing Committee

Integrated Marketing ranks as a top concern among client-side marketers. The development of new communications and the evolution of traditional communications have shifted power from the marketer to the consumer. This shift has created enormous opportunities, providing marketers with the ability to better target their customers. However, the explosion of choice has also complicated the lives and practices of marketers, creating massive challenges for effective integration. 

The Integrated Marketing Committee helps marketers plan, develop, execute, and evaluate their overall marketing communications strategy based on consumer insight. The committee explores various approaches for developing the most effective integrated marketing strategies and the tactics necessary for successful implementation.

Leadership Initiatives

Optimizing Integrated Multi-Screen Campaigns Survey
This survey was conducted by ANA in partnership with Nielsen. Integrated multi-screen campaigns are defined as campaigns that have the same set of marketing objectives and run during a similar timeframe across two or more screens, including TV, computer, tablet, mobile phone, and digital place-based media. The objectives of this survey included assessing the importance of integrated multi-screen campaigns, evaluating the metrics used to measure their success, examining the attributes that can lead to increased spend on multi-screen campaigns, ascertaining the importance of the different screen types, and determining the ad formats best suited for integrated multi-screen advertising.

Integrated Marketing, 4th Edition  
ANA released a White Paper, Integrated Marketing, 4th Edition: Barriers and Opportunities, detailing the findings from an online survey of 100+ client-side marketers. This is the fourth survey in eight years conducted by the ANA; past surveys were conducted in 2003, 2006 and 2008. The objective of the survey was to analyze the challenges marketers face when implementing effective IM programs and identify key concerns that have changed from 2003 to now. It also explores the contributions from within the organization and from agency partners on their IM programs.
