IV. THE AGENCY SEARCH PROCESS (after lunch)
The advertising agency community has become increasingly frustrated with client "bad behavior" in the agency search and selection process. Examples of such behavior include unreasonable RFP requests and demands for ownership of ideas and work from presenting agencies. The 4A's New Business Committee welcomes the opportunity to have a dialog on these issues with ANA committee members.
Speakers:
Tom Finneran, Executive Vice President, Agency Management Services - 4A's
Laurie Coots, Chief Marketing Officer - TBWA
Jason DeLand, Partner - Anomaly
Dave Lubeck, SVP, Director, Client Services - Bernstein Rein
V. ANA RECESSION SURVEY
In January, ANA polled its members to determine how marketing and advertising budgets are being impacted by the economy. This was the fourth such survey conducted over the past two years and those surveys have provided broad insight on client response to the economy as well as the specific areas where spending reductions have been made. Are we "out of the woods" yet? We'll review the latest results.
Facilitator: Bill Duggan, Group EVP - ANA
VI. OTHER BUSINESS
• 1. Benchmarking - Is there an issue or challenge that you want to "put on the table" for feedback from your peers?
• 2. Topics for future meetings
