I. RIM SOCIAL MEDIA CASE STUDY: INCREASING FREQUENCY AND TONE OF CONVERSATIONS WITH MyBlackberry (9:45am-10:45am)
Increasing frequency and tone of conversations online is the primary focus of the social media team at RIM. Increasing frequency is a relatively straightforward exercise but how do you increase the positive tone of those conversations? Answer: Develop an online community for fans that seamlessly connects with communities like Facebook and MySpace and permits those conversations to be picked up by search engines.
Speaker: Brian Wallace, Vice President, Digital Marketing - RIM
II. CUISINART CASE STUDY (11:00am-12:00pm)
Cuisinart wanted to increase engagement and communicate more frequently with their current consumers. Mary will demonstrate how Cuisinart's widget application creates an ongoing dialogue with their customers and allows for more focused targeting to their customers.
Speaker: Mary Rodgers, Director, Marketing Communications - Cuisinart and Waring Products
III. FACEBOOK (12:45pm - 1:45pm)
Facebook is going to discuss how their relationship with marketers and the ANA Digital Marketing Committee can be enhanced to work together proactively in the spirit of mutual partnership. For example, the ANA Digital Marketing Committee could be a great resource to Facebook to get reaction to proposed updates to policies/procedures as well as product development ideas and advertisers would benefit from getting advance notice on such issues.
Speakers:
Tom Arrix, VP Sales, US -Facebook
Mike Fox, Manager, Market Solutions - Facebook
Mike Murphy, VP Global Sales - Facebook
IV. ANA ADVOCACY UPDATE: SELF-REGULATORY PRINCIPLES FOR ONLINE BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING (1:45pm-2:15pm)
The ANA joined with the 4A's, the IAB, DMA, and CBBB to publicly release a set of comprehensive self-regulatory principles for online behavioral advertising. The goals of this significant industry initiative are to address privacy concerns and to increase the trust and confidence of consumers concerning how online information is collected and used. It is also critically important to demonstrate to policymakers in Washington, DC and the states that the privacy concerns of consumers can be best addressed through a strong, effective self-regulatory system. This session will provide an update on legislative developments and provide a forum to discuss how these principles would affect the operations of your company in the online marketplace.
Speaker: Daniel L. Jaffe, Executive Vice President, Government Relations - ANA
V. OTHER ISSUES (2:15pm-2:30pm)
We will solicit ideas for future meetings and open the floor for any other areas of discussion.
