ANA Files Comments With FDA
The Advertising Coalition (TAC), of which ANA is a founding member, filed comments on Monday with the FDA on its Notice on online drug promotion, including the use of social media to market prescription drugs. The comments argue that the FDA should issue draft guidance to marketers on how to properly convey to consumers information about risks and benefits of drugs advertised online. The comments argue that the present FDA practices in regard to internet advertising are inconsistent with the FTC’s approach and counterproductive.
