FTC Releases Revised "Green Guides"

The FTC has issued its revisions to the “Green Guides” for environmental marketing claims on Monday, October 1st.  The revisions specify that marketers should not make unqualified claims about products being “environmentally friendly” and provide guidance on claims of “biodegradable” among a number of other provisions.

Along those lines, we have also been alerted by the WFA that the European Commission will soon launch a series of “Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues” on environmental claims in marketing.
