Medidata Takes Top Marketer Honors At ANA Business Marketing Awards Gala

George P. Johnson Experience Marketing Wins Best Agency Award

CHICAGO (June 1, 2017) — Medidata and George P. Johnson Experience Marketing were the big winners in this year’s B2 awards competition, taking home top honors as Corporate Marketer of the Year and Large Agency of the Year, respectively, in a ceremony here last night.

The awards celebrate overall excellence and performance in B-to-B marketing and were announced during a gala dinner at the 2017 Masters of B2B Marketing Conference, presented by the ANA’s Business Marketing Association. Winners also included 1010data for Small Corporate Marketer of the Year (under $1 billion) and Stein IAS for Small Agency of the Year (under $25 million). Stein IAS won the same award in last year’s competition.

“B-to-B marketing is one of the cornerstones of the marketing world, and these awards honor the best in the business,” said ANA CEO Bob Liodice. “The ANA is proud to congratulate the winners on their exceptional work.”

In other awards, Merck Animal Health: Bravecto won “Best in Show” honors for a campaign created by its agency, Stein IAS, called “Cats Are Everywhere.” In addition, Matt Preschern, CMO at HCL Technologies, was named Marketer of the Year, which honors individual rather than corporate achievement.

This year almost 200 firms submitted more than 500 entries in about two dozen categories, with the top 82 being rewarded a prestigious B2 trophy.

B2 Award judges are director/VP level or above business-to-business marketers from all areas of the ANA and ANA’s Business Marketing, including chapter leaders, ANA Business Marketing Board of Advisors members, and committee members, among many others. The candidates are screened by ANA’s Business Marketing team, and are assigned to judge entries from categories in which they have expertise. Judges are not allowed to participate in the evaluation of campaigns or categories in which they had any involvement.
