10:30 am -   Brand Next - New Thinking Consumers want Brands to Act, Look and Feel Different.  Brands of the future won't be glossy marketing gadgets, but practical platforms for action.  They must help people do more, by being less controlling and more generous.  Brands started as a stamp on a product, then became gadgets designed to get people to buy.  Now they're becoming platforms.  Sam Wilson, Managing Director,, Wolff Olins will demonstrate why brands can only connect with consumers by inviting people to do things, not buy things.  She will share case histories (GE, ING and Sony Ericsson) to demonstrate the importance of why brand functionality really matters and why, therefore, creating a brand and designing the services behind it have become inseparable.
