The voice of the advertising and marketing industry in Washington, D.C. and all 50 states.
The ANA’s Government Relations department uses its reach and influence to achieve positive legislative and regulatory outcomes on behalf of our members and the advertising industry at large. We inform and advocate for ANA members on the legislative, regulatory, and legal developments that impact their ability to drive growth, and we assist members in complying with laws and regulations impacting their brands.
The ANA is focused on the following issues:
Privacy
Patchwork state privacy laws threaten the efficacy of an ad-supported internet. The ANA supports a national standard for data privacy that protects consumers and simplifies compliance.
Advertising Taxes
Taxes on advertising impact jobs, raise prices for consumers, and threaten growth. The ANA is the leading industry voice opposing attempts to tax advertising.
Nonprofit Policy
The ANA’s Washington, D.C. office is monitoring and advocating on issues at the state and federal level that impact advertisers, marketers, and fundraisers.
Our Services
Stay on top of key public policy issues affecting advertising and marketing.
Federal Legislative Tracking
The ANA tracks legislation impacting the advertising and marketing industry as it makes its way through Congress and provides regular updates to help educate our members.
