Job Description
This position will be responsible for developing strategic category sourcing plans to support the WW Marketing and Sales organizations. The incumbent will create innovative sourcing solutions, lead cross-functional teams and build supplier relationship management strategies that maximize value and mitigate risk while ensuring internal stakeholders requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Uses out-of-the-box approach to introduce innovative business relationships and structures to yield best value for the company. Thinks through process and relationship scenarios and advises internal business groups on value-added approaches to agency management solutions.
- Benchmarks, analyzes, and negotiates cost and added value in collaboration with various business groups.
- Facilitates and leads with other functions at Apple (such as Legal, Finance, Risk Management and Business Groups) in the supplier selection process, contract and price negotiations, and supplier performance management process.
- Maintains accurate and complete contract records, working with various business groups to simplify process. Seeks to leverage best in class agreements, processes, and negotiation techniques by sharing best practices with other GSMs within World Wide Procurement.
- Utilizes RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage.
- Implements proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems. Successfully integrates Statements of Work into Contracts in order to leverage spend, improve performance, and reduce costs.
- Initiates and manages Supplier Performance Reviews with the internal business groups to measure and to document performance levels, identify development areas, perform root cause analysis, establish corrective action plans for improved performance and delivery, and follow-up on actions.
- Ensures that strategies in procuring services or goods for both domestic and international markets are considered in the evaluation of the services or goods being purchased.
- Leads adoption of e-Sourcing and other innovative tools when applicable.
Qualifications
- The role requires a proactive work ethic, diplomacy, relationship-building skills, analytical skills, communication skills, resourcefulness, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with thorough knowledge in the focus areas, has legal contract knowledge, Marketing Procurement experience, is detail oriented with project management and negotiation skills.
- Requires a BA degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience and 7-10 years of related business experience in Marketing Procurement, Agency Management or equivalent experience.
