Job Description
The Director, Channel Strategy-Multicultural Marketing is responsible for the assessment, business plan development, and the execution of targeted initiatives within the multicultural channel for priority brands across North America Pharmaceuticals.
The incumbent will identify partnership opportunities in areas of mutual need (wellness and disease prevention / diagnosis / treatment) related to racially and ethnically diverse populations.
The position works in a matrix environment across brand teams, account management, and as the agency lead to direct activities in the multicultural channel.
Essential functions include:
- Channel Strategy and Planning - Assesses and applies marketplace insights and stakeholder needs to develop a comprehensive business plans for multicultural channel. Creates innovative initiatives for use within channel.
- Partnering and Collaboration (internally & externally) - Actively collaborates with cross-functional internal partners to deliver customer /channel-based insights, aligned strategies, leveraged value, and business results. Builds external partnerships across a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
- Technical Expertise and Administrative Functions - Develops, maintains, and applies marketplace, competitor, analytical, therapeutic, and clinical expertise to incorporate into strategy development for assigned channel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Seven or more years of demonstrated success and progressive development in healthcare or related experience (pharmaceutical experience is highly preferred) with a track record of performance and business results.
- A minimum of five years of experience in marketing (pharmaceutical and/or consumer) is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in multicultural marketing at the director level or above is required.
- Experience working in the following therapeutic areas preferred: Oncology, Immunology, Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Mental Health, Anti-infectives, Pain, Rheumatology and/or Dermatology.
- Direct, working experience with stakeholders from managed markets channels (MCO, Government, Institutional, Long-term Care, and/or Supply Chain) in marketing, account management, or other related field is highly preferred.
- People management experience with a track record of people development is preferred.
- Up to 25% domestic travel is required.
