Job Description
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Scottsdale, Arizona, seeks a Marketing Analyst who has THE SPIRIT OF ROCK-N-ROLL®.
This role will support Marketing leadership and product development teams with analytics and marketing operations to support decision making around market trends, new products, inventory, pricing, channel segments and performance to plan.
Your primary responsibilities include creating and maintaining regular reporting and business analysis of Marketing activities, including identifying inventory opportunities, maintaining new product metrics, reviewing and updating Master Data, performing what-if margin analysis, and analyzing monthly performance to plan. Your Analysis will be used to provide recommendations to Marketing leadership on areas of opportunity and focus with respect to inventory, margins, new product hurdle rates, and marketing specific projects.
This role will also support the following:
- New Product Introductions
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- SKU Optimization
- PL Profitability Reporting
- Performance to Plan
- Competitive Analysis
Qualifications
Just like an accomplished musician needs the chops to be successful, this person will need to have the following:
- 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in Marketing or Business Operations Role
- Experience with financial statements and P&Ls.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferable.
- Proven experience analyzing and maintaining business metrics specific to inventory, margins, and forecasts.
- Experience in a Marketing organization with associated Brand Management metrics, such as P&Ls, market share, SKU productivity, etc.
- Strong analytical & financial skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and Access
- Strong written and communication skills
