Director, Member Retention

The membership is comprised of more than 750 client-side marketers and 300 associate members, which include leading agencies, law firms, suppliers, consultants, and vendors. Further enriching the ecosystem is the work of the nonprofit ANA Educational Foundation (AEF), which has the mission of enhancing the understanding of advertising and marketing within the academic and marketing communities.

The ANA has an extraordinary opportunity for a senior individual seasoned in marketing or account management to make a difference, each and every day. As a membership-driven trade organization, we are obsessed with delighting our members. The ANA is seeking a Director, Member Relations who will be responsible for living and breathing member obsession while driving satisfaction and renewal for memberships. In this role, the Director will forge indelible relationships with key stakeholders at ANA member companies, increase utilization of member benefits across a suite of products and services and assume responsibility for membership renewal.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with corporate marketers at ANA member companies
  • Visit each assigned member company at their corporate headquarters each year
  • Understand and evangelize ANA benefits to its constituents – assigned accounts and the onboarding of new members
  • Live and breathe customer obsession
  • Work collaboratively with key member stakeholders to produce and implement a customize engagement plan
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem
  • Champion data stewardship
  • Demonstrate exceptional understanding of business fundamentals
  • Travel Required
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Possess a persistent desire to go above and beyond
  • Highly organized, detailed, accurate with very effective time management skills
  • Client-side marketing or relevant agency experience desired
