We are currently hiring for our next Brand and Content Manager – Twisted Tea in Boston, MA
Responsible for the development and growth of the Boston Beer Company (BBC) brand through effective, efficient and breakthrough marketing and Innovation strategies. The role is accountable for the sustainable growth of the brand through strategies and plans that win the hearts and minds of our consumers, retailers and distributors. It requires a strong understanding of how brands grow, management of a P&L and creativity to drive consumer disruption, delight and sales. This position reports to the Head of Marketing, Twisted Tea. 
What You'll Do: 
  • Brand: 
    • Develop and implement a plan for driving sustainable, long-term growth for the brand through focused and effective marketing and innovation plans. 
    • Working with Content and Promotions, develop and execute communication and promotional platforms for the brand across multi-channel and consumer touch points. 
    • Build a strong understanding of and relationship with internal and external customers. Leverage insights from sales, wholesalers, retailers and consumers. Create cross functional teamwork and collaboration. 
    • Working with Creative, lead the creative packaging process for the brand. Mange agency relationships and creative development process where appropriate. 
    • Responsible for all phases of product development from concept work with brewers to forecasting and package development. 
    • Implement a robust ideation, research, develop and test procedure for new offerings to drive focus on priority initiatives that build equity and drive brand growth. 
    • Ensure that all innovation is delivered on time, on budget and to standard and with clear stakeholder communication to ensure effective implementation. Focus should be on both the short and long terms planning timelines and requirements 
    • Monitor and review competitor activity, providing clear insights and implications for the brand. Manage the development of all selling materials, ensuring delivery on time and to standard 
    • Utilize IRI and depletions data to develop and support compelling selling stories and rationale for product recommendations, volume forecasts and project recaps 
    • Develop pricing and P&L analysis for the brand. 
    • Evaluate success of program and product initiatives based on analysis of costs and benefits to the organization 
  • Content: 
    • Creation of powerful advertising content that reengages and recruits consumers into the Brand 
    • Working with the Digital team, ensure that we have a strong and consistent digital content for the brand. 
    • Responsible for the creation and approval of Brand Content Creative briefs 
    • Responsible for the identification, review, appointment and management of advertising agencies for the Brand. 
    • Ensure that the business is kept up to date on competitor creative, content and media strategies, identifying key implications for the brand. 
    • Working with Media, ensure that we maximize our media spend and channel selection to drive our overall brand goals. 
    • Deliver Content on time and within budget for the current fiscal and requirements for following year within agreed planning timelines. 
    • Win Senior Management buy in for both content strategy and execution. Ensure proactive and timely communication to the broader organization (including Sales) of new creative. 
    • Act as a thought leader, ensuring that the business is kept up to speed with cutting edge developments in the world of consumer content. 
    • Manage specific content related tasks including: Fact-checking any and all facts used in any way when communicating with consumers, whether via advertisements, PR, promotions, trade marketing, etc. 
    • Ensuring the maintenance of Awards database for claims substantiation purposes 
    • Competitor tracking and database management. 
    • Brand historical reel kept up to date, including research results. 
What We're Looking For: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred 
  • 5-8 years experience in a results-oriented consumer product marketing role at a marketing driven firm/company
  • Beverage industry or traditional consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience is preferred, but not necessary 
  • Proven experience in project planning and management, budgeting and financial analysis, and product positioning 
  • Experience in developing consumer marketing communications, including digital. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather consumer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research and translate into creative marketing initiatives 
  • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills. Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
