We are currently hiring for our next Sr. Brand Manager – Samuel Adams in Boston, MA. 

You will be responsible for maximizing the impact of the existing Samuel Adams high-end beer portfolio, including positioning existing products and developing and launching new products to drive volume and reinforce key Samuel Adams brand equities. Also, responsible for projects related to communication and implementation of Samuel Adams overall brand strategy, including new products, brand materials and packaging. This position reports to the Head of Brand – Samuel Adams. 


What You Will Do:


Strategy

  • Develop positioning for existing high-end products to maximize impact of the Samuel Adams high-end beer portfolio 
  • Research, develop, test and launch new offerings to drive key equities for the brand 
  • Develop recommendations and gain alignment with senior management on direction for key initiatives and product communication, ensuring strong buy-in with Sales as well 
  • Utilize IRI and depletions data to develop and support compelling selling stories and rationale for product recommendations, volume forecasts and project recaps 
  • Develop pricing and P&L analysis for new products
  • Develop market research plans and utilize both quantitative and qualitative methods to support key decisions 
Experiential Marketing and Promotions 


  • Lead and execute process to engage target market in tangible experiential and connective dialog 
  • Experience with or leadership of 360 content and media planning 
  • Development of consumer engagement across digital channels using a CRM 
  • Directly managed $50+ million budget and associated ROI decision making 
  • Maximize cross-functional relationships through ongoing two-way communications with Sales, Operations and Brewing 
  • Evaluate product or program opportunities as needed based on strategic and financial value 
  • Leverage consumer insights into breakthrough marketing ideas 
Brand and Product Management 


  • Brand positioning and planning P&L exposure and/or direct budget management (exceeding $50 million) 
  • Media planning and management 
  • Agency and creative process across marketing mix for product, packaging, pricing, promotion / below the line (BTL), product launch and distribution. 
  • Develop and manage timelines and deliverables on assigned projects. 
  • Proactively identify potential issues within a project plan and develop contingency plans to address them 
  • Motivate cross-functional team members to keep projects advancing as planned and keep their focus on project priorities 
  • Evaluate success of program and product initiatives based on analysis of costs and benefits to the organization Innovation within commercialization process including develop new platforms, products, and line extensions Innovations validated in research, develop and lead associated value propositions, positioning, selling alignment, launch and measurement 
  • Shown successful market traction from launched innovations 
What We're Looking For: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from accredited college/university 
  • Master’s Business Administration (MBA) preferred 
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a results-oriented consumer product marketing role at a marketing driven firm or similar.
  •  3+ years of digital/social marketing or experiential marketing experience 
  • Beverage industry or traditional CPG experience is preferred, but not necessary 
  • Proven experience in project planning/management, and product positioning 
  • Directly managed a budget exceeding $50+ million in spend 
  • Experience in developing consumer marketing communications including online communication, advertising direction and/or promotions. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather consumer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research and translate into creative marketing initiatives 
  • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills. 
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment. 
  • Proven experience in developing and launching new products
