Director, Hertz Brand Marketing

Job Description:

The primary missions of the Director, Hertz Brand Marketing are:
  • Support driving revenue for the Hertz brands through B2B marketing activities and sales enablement
  • Support B2B programs based on business, market and seasonal needs. Develop and manage integrated B2B calendar for key B2B sales programs needs (RFP, Sponsorship, Events). Direct external marketing agencies (creative, media) to develop and implement content for B2B needs.
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure they have the right pipeline of content and collateral to support their needs.
  • Marketing point person on all RFPs and on corporate partnerships. 
  • Lead sponsorships, inclusive of auditing, measuring and defining the sponsorship portfolio, evaluating new partnership and sponsorships, acquisition, and on-going activation activities. Drive integration across Brand Teams and Media to define the role of Sponsorship in the channel strategy mix for each brand.
  • Lead governance, strategy and executing for the Small Business portfolio across all touch points. Partner with all Hertz cross-functional teams to oversee and champion the Small Business interests – Revenue, eCommerce, Customer Service, Sales, etc
  • Look for ways to enhance the customer experience and revenue profiles. Create and run campaigns to drive Small Business acquisition and improve retention
  • Day-to-day management of external creative agencies related to Small Business
Additional responsibilities and core functions include:
  • Be responsible for executing and driving to annual financial targets for Hertz brands.  Help establish business objectives, strategies, campaigns, and tactics that will successfully meet the financial plan
  • Identify and champion projects that will have brand and business impact
  • Stay current on market, competition, and trends including analyzing current marketing tactics, concepts, practices and procedures
  • Manage to brand marketing budgets
  • Assist in defining the objective, scope, and prioritization of product initiatives
 Key result areas: 
  • Develop, implement, and measure marketing programs to connect with key customer segments and meet B2B targets
Educational Background:
  • Undergraduate and master’s degrees in marketing, business management, economics, finance, mathematics, or related / relevant field required
Professional Experience: 
  • 7-10 years of professional experience within retail, travel, hospitality with a focus on product design.  Other industries acceptable if able to demonstrate relevant correlation
  • Proven track record of ability to solve complex business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in, across, and with large teams
  • Demonstrated project management experience for a broad range of topics and scope, including experience in large scale project management
  • Established track-record of influencing stakeholders from other functional areas with limited formal authority
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfort communicating across all levels within the organization
  • Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite product knowledge (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel)
