Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing – Creative Agencies & Media

Reporting to the Group Manager of Marketing Sourcing, this Sr. Sourcing Manager will collaborate with key Marketing stakeholders up to our CMO to ensure that Marketing Strategies, objectives are accomplished for various sub-categories primarily in Creative Agencies & Media and multiple other Marketing categories based on expertise.  This role will consolidate and create strategies within key marketing categories to maximize the value, ROI and strategic relationship we drive with our partners.  This role is highly visible and has a primary focus to drive significant re-investment back into the organization.  This position is best suited for an individual who thrives on transformation and simplifying complexity and has excellent change management experience.

  • Drive a negotiation strategy and execute on complex marketing contracts.  The proven ability to work across one supplier to maximize the value/needs across multiple BU’s.

  • The Marketing Category Manager will pursue both buy better (purchase price) levers as well as spend better (demand management, spec optimization, etc.) levers

Drive strategic supplier related projects and events that result in savings and/or greater value for Intuit that can be re-invested in future growth.

  • Manage end-to-end complex RFx events with business partners.

  • Manage the use of Preferred Suppliers and drive supplier consolidation initiatives, based on sound strategic thinking to execution

  • Influence demand management and develop sourcing solutions that align with existing standard or establish new standards.

  • Drive supplier development activities (QBR’s, performance management, root cause analysis, joint business plans); Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).

  • Continually improve the source-to-pay process (end-to-end procurement) to ensure we are delivering the benefits our internal partners expect.

  • Use an outside-in (external research), customer first approach to drive innovation and meaningful change for internal business partners.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in fields related to Marketing, Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Development, or Partner Management.  High-tech or Financial Services industries preferred.

  • BA/BS required; MBA from a nationally recognized institution preferred.

  • Possesses advanced contract management skills, comfortable driving contract negotiations typical in high-tech sector – related to marketing, technology and services procurement.

  • Exceptional relationship management skills – working with Partners / Suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. High emotional intelligence. Able to work x-functionally and influence peers.

  • Exceptional communication, project management, and presentation skills.

  • Goal-oriented.  Organized, disciplined, results oriented.  Ability to drive towards a savings target and set of category objectives.

  • Proactively works directly with stakeholders and senior leaders with moderate to minimal guidance from manager.

  • Exhibits high levels of judgment, integrity, innovation and creativity. Effectively balances use of inquiry and advocacy to work through barriers.

  • Demonstrated leadership track record – able to drive change and influence others.

  • Strong analytically, able to analyze and derive strategic insights and savings levers from data.
