Job Description

This job contributes to Starbucks success by managing suppliers and by engaging industry leaders to envision new supply chains delivering for best value, quality and service for our indirect services category. This role will have an emphasis on marketing, advertising, and media categories. The Starbucks global sourcing team needs an individual who can deliver improved value and contract closure, across a wide range of business areas in respect to Marketing contracts, in a complex, ever changing and fast moving environment. This person will be responsible for interfacing with suppliers, as well as driving internal cross-functional teams.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of success in highly complex indirect services categories, ideally with some marketing experience and success. The indirect services category at Starbucks also includes non-IT corporate services, such as consulting, contingent labor, travel, financial services, facilities, legal services, relocation services, staffing services, healthcare, and other benefits. This role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver goals and enable the team to manage complex projects. Demonstrates leadership for best in class management of complex sourcing categories. Leads conversations with executive level leaders both internally and externally about global sourcing risks and opportunities.  Leads analysis of key government and trade policies effecting the category.
