Pharma Meetup

This event is over.

In the hyper-complex pharmaceutical industry, marketers confront unprecedented regulation, persistent pressure to innovate and launch the next wave of blockbusters, and a labyrinth of communication channels and platforms from which to cultivate a two-way dialog with consumers and their health care providers. The ANA’s 2017 Pharma Meetup is an opportunity for ANA members from pharmaceutical companies to come together and explore the procurement and marketing-based issues and themes that all industry stakeholders face while elevating the conversation through shared insights, best practices and senior level case studies, from across the ecosystem, culminating with takeaways that attendees can apply immediately.

MILLENNIAL MDS: THE “DOCTOR OF TOMORROW” IS CHANGING HEALTH CARE TODAY

By 2020, gen Z will make up nearly half of all consumers and a significant number of doctors. What do these digital dependents mean for health care and the marketers aiming to reach them? An unprecedented number of health care professionals have already begun to rely on online resources for clinical information. Growing numbers are using YouTube and other video sources for clinical treatment information. And many millennial doctors believe the millennial patient requires a different relationship with their doctor. And with their inherent skepticism toward advertising – 84 percent of all millennials don’t trust brands – these gen Zers will be a challenge to engage. In this session, Wunderman Health and Kantar Media will share a character sketch of the millennial MD and insights into this elusive demographic, how they are changing health care, and what it means for health care marketers.
