NBC Tops Nets Early In New Season

Two weeks into the new 2014-2015 TV season shows, there is a somewhat familiar ring to a year ago -- NBC is in first place among key viewers in program ratings that include week-long time-shifting. NBC is at a 2.8 average rating among 18-49 viewers (3.56 million).

NBC is at a 2.8 average rating among 18-49 viewers (3.56 million) for Nielsen’s live-program-plus seven-day time-shifted viewing metric. NBC is down 3% from the same time period a year ago.

CBS is next at a 2.4 average rating among 18-49 viewers -- 3.05 million viewers. The network is even versus a year ago.

ABC is in third place with a 2.1 rating or 2.67 million 18-49 viewers, down 5%; Fox is at a 1.6 rating, with 2.03 million 18-49 viewers, giving up 20%. Univision is at a 1.1 rating, with 1.4 million 18-49 viewers, off 15%. CW is at a 0.3 18-49 rating, with 381,000 viewers, sinking 25% from a year ago.

Overall viewers put CBS ahead -- where it has been for a long time -- at 11.11 million viewers, followed by NBC at 9.94 million; ABC with 7.86 million; Fox at 4.33 million; Univision with 2.87 million; and CW at 922,000.
