Understanding Consumers' Local Search Behavior

Key findings from this survey on local search include:

  • Fifty percent of consumers who conducted a search for a local business on their smartphone, visited that store the same day.

  • Eighteen percent of local smartphone searches resulted in a same day purchase.

  • Over sixty percent of consumers use local information, such as an address or phone number, found in ads.
