Executive Summary

The objective of this survey was to study consumer media consumption habits and practices among the millennial generation, with a particular focus on family entertainment, multi-screen devices, and TV viewing habits.

The findings included the following:

  • Millennial parents believe that watching TV makes them better parents and often use TV as a tool for bringing their families together.
  • Millennials parents are more likely than the general population to watch TV as a family, although they place more of an emphasis on educational programming.
  • Millennials also watch content via YouTube and 45 percent subscribe to one of YouTube's family channels.
