2011 ANA Advertising Law and Public Policy Conference: Keynote Address

Product endorsements and testimonials are appearing in contexts that were unheard of just a few years ago. Consumer’s reviews are also increasingly influential. In light of recent developments concerning paid reviews on blogs and Web sites, the FTC has updated its endorsement guides with the main objectives of clarifying how traditional rules of governing advertising apply to online content.
