CMO Keynote: Why Marketing and Procurement Need to Work Together

Executive Summary

At Nationwide Insurance, the procurement and marketing teams now work hand in hand to produce results. Through two-way communication, the two teams have been able to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Matthew Jauchius, executive vice president and CMO of Nationwide, shared how procurement and marketing have been able to reduce agency fees by 7 percent year-over-year since 2011 while building an integrated campaign that lifted total unaided awareness by 33 percent.
