Executive Summary

In this video, Professor Michael McCann, director of the Sports and Entertainment Law Institute at University of New Hampshire School of Law, moderated a panel discussion with participants Kathryn Barrett Park, senior counsel of advertising and brand management at General Electric (GE), Michael Kuh, counsel at Latham & Watkins, and Christopher Sloan, assistant vice president and senior corporate counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance, on sponsorships/brand promotion and ambush marketing at the Olympics, World Cup, and Super Bowl. Clean zones, cooperative arrangements between organizing committees and law enforcement, and protections and policies afforded by consumer protection laws were also discussed.
