The Association of National Advertisers (ANA), located in Mid-town Manhattan, is seeking the following:
Director of Marketing
Basic Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing supervises ANA’s marketing communications and manages the relationship of the ad and PR agencies. Partnering with all internal departments, he or she will serve as an internal communications funnel and provide marketing input and copywriting. They will also develop integrated marketing communication plans that build the company brand and resonate with internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Website content generation
- Communications material design and delivery
- Oversee web advertising initiatives
- Expand strategic media partnership which support the brand
- Develop a content delivery system customized for individual member needs
- Understand new communications technologies and recommend and implement ANA deployment.
- Supervise two employees.
Requirements:
- Prefer brand side marketer experience with a sound knowledge of the marketing landscape.
- Business-to-business marketing experience a plus.
- Must be able to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Online publishing and online marketing knowledge a plus.

Knowledge & Research Specialist
Basic Responsibilities:
The Marketing Insights Center serves the ANA and its members as a major source of marketing knowledge. The team’s focus is to provide members (client-side marketers) with the information and insights they need to make better decisions, faster. The Knowledge & Research Specialist works on intellectual capital development through multiple channels within the Marketing Insights Center — ANA’s proprietary internal knowledge base.
Responsibilities include:
- Acquire and create content generated from our events, research initiatives and publications. Produce clear write-ups.
- Act as lead on content writing, editing and knowledge management within the organization.
- Create opportunities to bundle or repurpose original / existing content.
- Look for innovative ways to analyze ANA research and “connect the dots” across ANA’s intellectual capital.
- Build a best in class knowledge service by collaborating with colleagues across the organization
- Maintain and cultivate external relationships with authors and third party contacts.
- Oversee business relationship between ANA and on demand publishing vendor.
- Manage book/white paper production (flowing, proofing, updating, upload and write descriptions for any/all new books/white papers)
- Support the ANA Marketing Thought Leadership research initiative.
- Provide general support for other knowledge management and research management activities, as needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing skills
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Desire to increase knowledge in the marketing/advertising industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Good editing skills a plus
- Familiarity with HTML code a plus
- Self-motivated – consistently seeks to deliver results beyond the teams’ expectations
- Previous experience in ad/marketing industry is desired but not required.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in information science (MLS) or related degree and 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring information analysis and interpretation (business-related experience in a non-research position desirable, too.)
Some travel is required attending ANA events outside of NYC.
