George Giassopoulos is the Procurement Director, Global Marketing & Media Agencies for Pfizer Inc. George joined Pfizer in 2007 and is responsible for designing and implementing the global sourcing strategy across all marketing agency and media categories including creative, digital, PR, consumer & professional media for all Pfizer business units.
Previously, George was Head of Marketing Procurement for buyingTeam in the U.K. where he led reviews and delivered savings and process efficiencies for a number of high profile organizations including Universal Music, Travelex, Reuters and Comet.
During his career, George has held senior marketing procurement positions for a number of blue chip companies, including Halifax Bank of Scotland and Vodafone.
George holds a B.S. in Business Administration & Management and a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of Stirling. He has been an active member of ISBA (institute of British Advertisers) in the U.K. since 2002 and most recently the ANA in the U.S.
