Terri Burns is the manager of strategic sourcing and procurement for marketing at the American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus, Georgia (Aflac). Ms. Burns has built the marketing procurement practice at Aflac from the ground up, and is developing strategic sourcing programs aligned with the Company’s key growth strategies. Prior to joining Aflac in 2012, Ms. Burns led the Global Marketing Procurement organization at The Coca-Cola Company. At Coca-Cola, she worked across company operations worldwide in an effort to leverage global marketing spend. Ms. Burns effectively integrated procurement process within the brand marketing environment, driving efficiency without sacrificing focus on creative quality. She has successfully developed marketing procurement strategies throughout her career and is currently co-chair of the Marketing Procurement Task Force at the ANA. Ms. Burns is a graduate of Emory University and received her master’s degree in business from Georgia State University.
