Carlos Saavedra
Director, Culture Marketing / PepsiCo

Carlos Saavedra is the Director of Culture Marketing for PepsiCo's soda business, including its flagship Pepsi and Mountain Dew brands. In this role, he is leading the effort to step-change the organization's cultural fluency in order to build brand equity and grow volume with key cultural groups. Specifically, Carlos steers cross-cultural strategic planning, creative development, and program execution in close partnership with PepsiCo’s brand & consumer engagement (media, digital, music & sports marketing) teams. He is also spearheading a joint collaboration with PepsiCo's Latin America region to deliver relevant content and create synergies across the Americas. As part of that effort, Carlos is currently piloting a 4-month Cultural Exchange Program in Bogota, Colombia. A 12-year PepsiCo veteran, Carlos has held a variety of brand marketing and innovation roles across multiple divisions including Gatorade, Tropicana, Sierra Mist and the Foodservice channel.
