As Marketing Manager – The Americas for Deutsche Lufthansa AG based in New York, Daniel Abt is responsible for the airline’s social media communication in the U.S. He is in charge of several global communications projects as well and supports the company’s social media teams in Latin America and Canada as the link between headquarters in Germany and The Americas region. Before joining Lufthansa in 2014, Daniel gained experience within the fields of communications and marketing at different organizations including Hawaiian Airlines and Fraport AG, the owner and operator of Frankfurt Airport.
Daniel holds a B.A. in International Business Communication from AKAD University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart, Germany, and a M.A. in Communication from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He has presented at different academic and industry events on the topics of social media, crisis communications and digital innovations.
