Debra Aho Williamson is the principal analyst for eMarketer, where she leads coverage of social media marketing and advertising.
Ms. Williamson has been at the forefront of emerging digital marketing trends, having written about the birth of online marketing at Advertising Age and chronicled the late-1990s dotcom boom as executive editor of The Industry Standard. She was also one of the first analysts to pinpoint the social media marketing trend and has written more than 55 eMarketer reports on the topic since 2006.
Ms. Williamson graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in English and a Bachelor of Music in oboe performance.
