Iwona Alter has been Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Jack in the Box brand since October 2016. In this capacity she oversees Product Marketing, which includes Regional Marketing, Menu Strategy and Culinary Innovation. She is also responsible for Marketing Communications, including Media Strategy & Communications, Social Media, Merchandising & Print Production, and Creative Services. Iwona joined Jack in the Box as a Marketing Manager in 2005 and was promoted to Director of Innovation in 2009. In 2011, she was promoted to Division Vice President of Operations and oversaw more than 300 company-operated restaurants in California, Nevada, and Arizona. She returned to Marketing in 2013 as VP of Menu Strategy & Innovation. Iwona has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of advertising, marketing and brand-management roles both domestically and internationally with companies including Johnson & Johnson (supporting Neutrogena and RoC Cosmetics), Shiseido Cosmetics, Elmer’s Inc., and J. Walter Thompson advertising, where she worked on such global brands as Ford and Sprint.
