Roger Ares joined SunTrust as a marketing analytics and client insights executive. Known for applying advanced analytics to strategic planning and daily operations, he leads predictive marketing analytics and client insight capabilities to drive demand for SunTrust’s segments. Mr. Ares has more than 20 years of global marketing experience, leading strategic marketing analytics, insights and planning initiatives at Fortune Global 500 companies. He most recently served as vice president of analytics for Hyatt Hotels, leading the advanced analytics practice and focusing on programs such as customer relationship management, marketing mix modeling and all digital marketing initiatives from planning to execution and monitoring. Roger’s experience spans multiple industries and companies such as Omnicom, The Home Depot and The Coca-Cola Company. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from Brazil’s Faculdade Armando Alvares Penteado in civil engineering and in business administration with a concentration in finance, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Mr. Ares is married with two young children, and he enjoys music, soccer, American football, basketball and tennis. Roger also participates in university activities and teaches two classes annually at Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
