Susan Arnold, VP, Strategic Marketing & Commercial Music Group, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, LLC is the dedicated synch team attorney, providing continuous leadership and direction to the most successful synch sales team in the industry.

A seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in licensing at record labels and publishing, she is also the point person for all of the major film/TV studios for original music through work for hire deals. Her work has supported opportunities for songwriters including Pharrell, Sia, Greg Kurstin, JR Rotem, Usher, P!nk, Lady Gaga,  and many more.  

Susan holds a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and a B.S. from New York University. Her entertainment biz career began as Head of Business Affairs at indie Phonomatic Music Group, followed by 4 years as Head of Sony Music’s Copyright Department, responsible for domestic mechanical & synch licensing and all registrations.  After 10 years in private practice representing variety of music biz clients, including major company B.A. overflow from Atlantic, Sony, Zomba, and EMI, she joined EMI Music Publishing, overhauling synch licensing processes.  In 2012, EMI was acquired by a Sony/ATV–led consortium.
