Carlos Becil joined Equinox in May 2013 as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of marketing to spearhead marketing initiatives, consumer engagement programs, brand partnerships and to identify growth opportunities. A veteran to luxury businesses, Mr. Becil has extensive experience in the industry, most recently leading brand management for The W, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and Le Meridien brands under the Starwood luxury and design brands portfolio. He was responsible for all marketing, public relations, digital and social media and guest experience programs. Prior to his appointment at Starwood, he spent several years at Kraft Food leading a $1 billion portfolio of brands. Mr. Becil received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from New York University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
