Kris is the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications for the Purina Animal Nutrition division within Land O’ Lakes where she is tasked with creating magnetic connections between our customers and brands. She leads a team that is responsible for brand building efforts and customer engagement plans for the animal feed business unit. Kris has been with Land O’ Lakes since 2015. Prior to this she spent 15 years at General Mills as Director of Integrated Marketing Communications for the Convenience and Foodservice division where she led a 10-person team responsible for driving demand and customer engagement across multiple channels through partnerships, promotions, digital and content marketing. Before becoming the IMC Director, Kris led promotional partnerships and campaigns for many brands at General Mills including Cheerios, Yoplait, Betty Crocker baking products, Nature Valley and Fruit Roll-Ups. Kris possess over 25 years of marketing communications experience and building strong brands. She began her career working at several marketing and advertising agencies, including Rapp Collins Worldwide and Kamstra Communications where she worked on B2B brands like 3M Industrial products and Ergodyne safety products, and B2C brands like Red Baron and Freschetta frozen pizza. She has a degree in Advertising and Marketing from Drake University. Kris’s favorite type of work is helping brands define their purpose and developing iconic visual brand strategies. She loves the complexity of brand building today and the new tools in the marketing tool box to reach and engage with customers. But best of all is seeing the results that come from tapping into the emotional insights that can unlock growth for a brand.
