Therese Craparo is partner in Reed Smith’s IP, tech and data group, and is a member of Reed Smith’s information technology, privacy and data security group, records and e-discovery, complex litigation, and financial technology (fintech) teams. Ms. Craparo focuses her practice on enterprise data risk management, records and information governance, technology risk, data privacy and security, complex litigation and e-discovery. Therese has worked with financial services institutions, technology companies, food products companies and pharmaceutical companies to develop strategies for managing the legal and regulatory issues relating to both traditional data and innovative proprietary and developing technologies and data sources. She counsels clients on all aspects of data risk management, including: data breaches and data privacy; cross-border data transfers; data migrations; cybersecurity; data analytics and artificial intelligence; technology implementation and management; e-discovery strategy and management; and the remediation of legacy data. Therese has represented clients on e-discovery, privacy and data risk issues before state and federal regulators and courts, including managing incident reporting and defense of data retention policies and procedures.
