David Dobbins is media and print services director at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Boehringer Ingelheim is the largest privately-held pharmaceutical company in the world with sales of $16 billion, and has products which include Spiriva, Pradaxa, Tradjenta, Mirapex, Zantac, and Dulcolax. Mr. Dobbins joined Boehringer in 2007. He manages all aspects of consumer media planning and buying for the U.S. In addition, his team manages the health care professional media agency and materials printing areas. Mr. Dobbins was a leader on the team that conducted a global media agency search and selected an agency to consolidate with. His responsibility included management of the country-by-country transition to the new agency. He has also managed the ongoing tracking and evaluation of agency performance. Prior to Boehringer Ingelheim, Mr. Dobbins was at Pfizer for 23 years in a variety of brand management, marketing, and media roles. While at Pfizer he was on the team that managed the U.S. media consolidation across multiple business units. He has an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business.
